Referred CPA & Audit Services are classified as Public Company Audit Services and Private Company CPA Services. We have developed a deep network of participating accounting firms, located throughout the U.S. and beyond, that we present your engagements to. They are some of the most recognizable and well-respected firms in the public accounting profession, and their partners have specific industry expertise and the technical knowledge to provide you with outstanding client service. The goal is to get your company to “the right” accounting firm.
We consult with you to determine your specific requirements, to gain an understanding of your business, and to ascertain what CPA or Audit Services you are currently receiving. We want to know about company’s culture, and any other attribute that you may deem important in finding “the right” accounting firm for your company – those may include timing of services, pricing, value received, or obtaining services from a second accounting firm, etc. As well, at your request we will manage the RFP Process related to this initiative, again at no charge.
There are no obligations to meet with any accounting or audit firm we present to you, nor are there ever any fees to you for Referred CPA & Audit Services. Some of the questions below may pertain to your company.
Does your company use “the right” accounting firm?
Surveys continually show that at any given time about 40% of all private and public companies seek a different CPA or Audit Firm. There are several reasons for this dynamic but to understand it fully requires some background on the accounting profession. In general, accounting firms, especially the larger firms, spend more time and resources on the inter-workings and politics of their own firms than they do focusing outwardly on the needs of their clients. Eventually, this leads to a reduced level of client service and value received by the client. Each year, hundreds of companies contact The CPA Exchange iterating this to us, and desiring a new accounting firm to meet their ever changing needs. The good news is that over the past decade or so a plethora of excellent accounting firms have emerged around the U.S., with specific industry specializations and expertise. Many of these firms are “Top 100 Firms” and The CPA Exchange has deep relationships with the partners at these firms. Thus, we are able to efficiently identify what firms are best for your specific engagement, while at the same time gauging the firm’s interest in your engagement requirements. These firms perform many of the same engagements of the Big 4 Accounting Firms, but often at a reduced cost and with a much higher level of client service. As well, sometimes the answer is engaging two or more accounting firms, especially for companies with multiple locations, and public companies that require services that their audit firm is precluded from providing.
Did you choose your accounting firm using an objective process?
Mind bogglingly, many companies still choose their accounting or audit firm using the old boy’s network. Even when a company is using a firm which is clearly not serving their best interests we hear a lot of the following: – “our CFO has a relationship with them or worked for them” or “our banker or lawyer recommended them”. In today’s global economy, and, more importantly, litigious society these are no longer viable methods for engaging and retaining one of the most, if not the most, important professional relationships of your company. The CPA Exchange offers objectivity, knowledge and expertise so that you streamline the initiative of finding “the right” accounting or audit firm for your organization. You owe it to the owners or shareholders of your company to insure you have made the most informed decision possible regarding the choice of your accounting or audit firm.
Why do many companies settle for an under performing accounting firm? Does yours?
Because finding “the right” accounting firm is an extremely arduous, complicated and time consuming task. Whenever an organization or person has a task outside of their normal day to day duties it is inherently difficult, thus making procrastination that much more likely. The CPA Exchange not only offers expertise and knowledge, but organizes the entire process of finding a “new or different” accounting firm for your company. Once again we wanted to thank you for helping us through this process. In a few words, this is what we have to say about our experience with The CPA Exchange, and how positive it was. The assistance and support given by Paul Weinberg and his team at The CPA Exchange made it possible for Ingenico to find the right advisors and have a smooth and successful transition to Crowe Horwath. The entire process was very professional, timely and at no cost to us.
We congratulate you and your staff on a job effectively performed.

My experience this past year was very favorable with The CPA Exchange in finding us an Audit Firm in a timely manner. The Audit Firm of C. G. Uhlenberg is a local company so we didn’t have to pay for travel costs and they are great to work with. Thanks so much!
